BUTTERMILK DOUGHNUTS 
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
3 1/2 c. flour

Sift 3 1/2 c. flour and mix with baking powder. Then mix all the ingredients. More flour may be added to stiffen the dough when rolling out. Fry in lard at 375 degrees. Makes approximately 2 dozen doughnuts.
