KOSHER DILL PICKLES 
2-3 heads dill
2 cloves garlic
2 tbsp. salt (use less if you want to)
1/3 to 1/2 c. vinegar
2 pods red pepper
Pinch of alum
Cucumbers

Sterilize quart jars and wash pickle-size cucumbers. To each quart, add exact listed quantities. You can use less salt, garlic cloves and pepper. Fill jars with boiling water and seal. Water bath as long as needed.
