MOM'S SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS 
SAUCE:

1 (#2) can tomatoes
1 sm. can tomato paste
3 sm. cans water
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp. parsley
1 stalk celery
Salt and pepper to taste

MEATBALLS:

1 lb. ground beef
2 eggs
1 pkg. (20 squares) crackers, crushed
2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

SAUCE: Mix all ingredients and simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hours (or more).

MEATBALLS: Mix all ingredients. Shape into balls, brown, drain off fat and add to sauce.

Even better the second day!

(Growing up, all family visitors asked for Mom's sauce and meatballs. Nowadays, I tend to add other herbs to the sauce. If using fresh herbs, don't add until the last 20 minutes of cooking.)
