1 pkg. Kraft caramels, approximately 35 1 c. evaporated milk 1 chocolate cake mix 3/4 c. butter, melted 1 c. diced pecans or almonds 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips Mix butter, 1/2 cup milk and cake mix. Put 1/2 mixture in heavily greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. While baking, melt caramels in 1/2 cup of milk in top of double boiler. Remove baked mix from oven and spread chocolate chips over mix, pour melted caramels over chocolate chips, add chopped nuts. Pour remaining cake mix on top. Bake an additional 15 minutes. Let cool for 45 minutes before cutting. Cut in "Candy size" pieces. |
