IDA'S POUND CAKE 
6 large eggs
3 sticks butter
1 box powdered sugar
1 box plain flour
1 tsp. vanilla
3 C chopped pecans, optional (see cook's note]

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at the time. Fill powdered sugar box with flour and add to the butter, sugar, and egg mixture. Add vanilla. Grease and flour a tube cake pan (you can use Pam spray & no flour).

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. Cool in pan 15 minutes. Remove to wire rack to finish cooling.

For nut pound cake, you can add 3 C chopped pecans.
