OATMEAL BRAN RAISIN MUFFINS 
1 c. raw oatmeal
2 tbsp. whole bran cereal
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. corn oil
1 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine oatmeal, bran and brown sugar; add buttermilk and stir well. Stir together egg and corn oil; add to oatmeal mixture. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon; stir most of it into the oatmeal mixture. Toss the remaining flour mixture with the raisins to coat them well; then add all to the oatmeal mixture. Mix thoroughly.

Spoon mixture into a greased and floured muffin tin, filling each cup 2/3 full. Bake for 25 minutes, or until lightly browned. Makes 1 dozen muffins.
