SAUSAGE POTATO SOUP | |
1 lb. sausage 8 med. potatoes, cut in small pieces 2 sm. onions, diced 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. celery seeds 3 tbsp. finely chopped parsley 3 to 4 c. milk 1 1/2 c. water 2/3 c. instant mashed potatoes for thickening Brown sausage stirring to crumble, drain and set aside. Combine potatoes, onion, water, salt and celery seed in large Dutch oven, cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender. Add sausage, parsley and milk and heat well. Use 2/3 cup instant mashed potatoes for thickening if desired. |
