INDIAN CORN BREAD 
1 c. enriched cornmeal
1 c. flour (all-purpose)
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. sugar (optional)
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. vegetable oil or melted butter
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine all ingredients. Pour batter into greased pan (8 iinch or 9i nch square). Bake at 425 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Makes 8 servings.
