CHICKEN & RICE 
1 whole chicken, cut up
2 c. white rice, uncooked
2 bunches green onions
4 c. water

Lightly brown chicken. Cut onions (also green bottoms). Lightly saute onions and rice in large roaster pan with lid. Spread rice and onion mixture on bottom of roaster pan and arrange chicken on top. Pour water over top of all ingredients. Salt and pepper to taste. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes.

VARIATIONS: Instead of chicken, sausage, shrimp or whatever type of meat you like.
