HALF POUND CAKE 
3 sticks corn oil butter
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 3/4 c. sifted cake flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk

Blend butter with sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour, baking powder and salt; add alternately with milk. Mix well after each addition. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake for one (1) hour and 15 minutes at 325 degrees. Cool and sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
