EASY TORTE 
3 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1 c. pecans, ground
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
20 Ritz crackers, crushed
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat egg whites until stiff; add sugar slowly. Add crackers, salt, vanilla and stir. Spread in an 8x8 inch square cake pan, well greased and bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. When cool, cover with whipped cream or Cool Whip, using almond flavoring instead of vanilla.
