TOMATO CATSUP 
16 c. tomatoes, peeled, sliced
3 white onions, sliced
1 c. vinegar
1 clove garlic, sliced
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. ground mace
1 1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 1/2 tsp. celery salt
1 tbsp. salt
2 dashes Tabasco

Simmer, uncovered until thick, about 3 hours. Stir frequently to mash tomatoes and to prevent burning. Puree in blender. Pour into sterilized jars and seal. Makes 9 pints.
