BANANA SPLIT CAKE I 
2 c. crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers
3 sticks butter
2 c. powdered sugar
2 eggs
4 or 5 bananas
1 lg. can drained pineapple
1 lg. container Cool Whip
1 sm. can cherries (optional)
1 sm. pkg. chopped pecans (optional)

Mix graham crackers (or vanilla wafers) and 1 stick of butter to form crust in the bottom of a 12x9x2 pan. Set aside.

Mix powdered sugar, eggs, and 2 sticks of butter and pour over crust. Add sliced bananas to top of mixture. Then layer with drained pineapple. Next spread Cool Whip over this. Top with nuts and cherries if desired. Cover and chill overnight.
