ONION QUICHE | |
4 c. thinly sliced sweet Spanish onions 3 tbsp. butter 1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shell 4 slices bacon, fried & crumbled 1 c. grated Swiss cheese 3 eggs 1 1/2 c. milk or half & half 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Saute onions in butter until tender, spoon into pastry shell, sprinkle with bacon and cheese. Beat eggs with milk, salt and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over onions. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees, bake 25 to 30 minutes longer or until custard is set. |
