HOBO BREAD 
2 1/2 c. boiling water
4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. raisins (may use only 1 c. if you wish)

Mix above and let stand 1 hour. 1/2 - 1 c. white sugar 1 - 1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional) 4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)

Mix dry ingredients together and then mix with water mixture. Pour evenly into 3 greased and floured one pound coffee cans. Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes. May be stored in coffee cans in freezer with covers. Stores very well.
