RHUBARB NUT BREAD | |
1 1/2 c. brown sugar or part granulated sugar 2/3 c. salad oil 1 egg 1 c. buttermilk or sour milk 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 2 1/2 c. flour 1 1/2 c. fresh rhubarb, diced fine 1/2 c. chopped nutmeats Mix in order given. Pour into one very large loaf pan or 2 medium size loaf pans. Mix 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon butter and a little cinnamon and sprinkle over bread before baking. Bake 325 degrees about 50-60 minutes. Don't overbake. |
