OLD FASHIONED BREAD PUDDING 
4 c. soft bread cubes
2 c. milk
4 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. seedless raisins

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Place bread cubes in a buttered baking dish (1 1/2 quarts) and set aside. Scald milk and butter. In a large bowl combine sugar, eggs, salt, cinnamon and raisins. Stir some of the milk into the egg mixture gradually add the entire milk mixture to the eggs, stirring constantly. Pour over the bread cubes. Bake in a moderate oven until a knife inserted one inch from edge comes out clean.
