GUMDROP COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1 c. gumdrops, cut into sm. pieces

Thoroughly cream shortening and sugars; add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Sift dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Add remaining ingredients. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees about 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen.
