MOLASSES KRINKLES 
2 1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream shortening and sugar, add egg then molasses. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Roll balls the size of a walnut. Dip one side into granulated sugar. Place unsugared side down on cookie sheet. Sprinkle each cookie with 3 drops of water. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
