BANANA NUT BREAD WITH RAISINS 
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. mashed ripe bananas
1/3 c. water
1 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped or ground nuts
1/2 c. of raisins

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom only of loaf pan, 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch or 9 x 5 x 3 inch pan. Mix sugar and butter in bowl. Stir in eggs until blended. Add bananas and water; beat until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients except nuts and raisins until moistened; stir in nuts and raisins.

Pour into pan. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool completely before slicing. Do not use self- rising flour.
