NOODLE KUGEL | |
3 eggs 4 tbsp. brown sugar 1/8 tsp. nutmeg 4 c. cooked broad noodles 1/2 c. seedless white raisins 1/2 c. sliced blanched almonds 1 tbsp. lemon juice 4 tbsp. melted butter 2 tbsp. bread crumbs Beat eggs and brown sugar until fluffy. Add nutmeg, noodles, raisins, almonds, lemon juice and butter. Turn into well greased ring mold or baking dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake in 375 degree oven for 50 minutes or until browned. Serve with meat or poultry dishes or with a sweet fruit sauce as a dessert. Serves 6-8. |
