POLISH DILLS 
Sm. cucumbers
1 grape leaf packed in each jar
1 head dill packed in each jar
1 clove garlic packed in each jar
1 hot green chili pepper packed into each jar
1 qt. water
1 c. vinegar
3 level tbsp. canning salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. turmeric
Alum (size of a pea)

Pack small cucumbers into sterilized jars. In each jar put a grape leaf, head of dill, clove of garlic and a hot green chili pepper. Place the rest of the ingredients in a saucepan and boil 15 minutes. Pour over cucumbers, seal and process 10 minutes. Yield: 2 pints.
