TEXAS BRITTLE 
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
2 c. pecans, chopped
1 qt. cereal flakes
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. molasses
1 tsp. vinegar

Boil sugar, water, vinegar, molasses, butter and salt together until mixture becomes brittle in cold water. Pour syrup over cereal flakes and pecans. Stir quickly and form into small balls.
