SAUTEED APPLES 
This recipe is in the meat section because Alice says it is delicious served with pork. It is also a good way to use up extra apples.

1 1/2 tbsp. butter
5 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
2 tbsp. sugar
Cinnamon to taste

Melt butter in heavy skillet over low heat. Add apples, stirring until coated with butter. Cover and saute, shaking pan occasionally to prevent sticking, 5 to 10 minutes or until apples are tender. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Makes 4 servings.
