NOT YOUR REGULAR BRISKET 
3 1/2 to 4 lb. brisket
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. onion, chopped
1 green pepper, sliced
1/4 c. raisins
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 can (20 oz.) unsweetened apple slices, drained or 1 fresh apple slice

Put brisket in large baking pan. Combine water and soy sauce. Pour over brisket, sprinkle with pepper. Bake at 325 degrees for 2 1/2 to 3 hours until tender. Add onion, green pepper, raisins, brown sugar and apple slices. Bake for 1/2 hour longer. Remove brisket. Cool, slice. Reheat with sauce.
