DANISH PUFF 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. cold water
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 c. flour
3 eggs

ICING:

2 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. milk or cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt

Use first 4 ingredients: Cut butter into 1 cup flour and salt. Add cold water and mix. Divide in half and press each half into a 3 x 12 inch size on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Using the next 4 ingredients, put water and butter into a saucepan. Bring to a boil and when butter is melted. Add 1 teaspoon almond flavoring. Remove from heat. Immediately stir in 1 cup flour. Beat mixture smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Spread this mixture over the pie pastry, bake at 425 degrees for 50 minutes. Frost while hot.

ICING: Beat well all ingredients, spread or brush on top of Danish Puff. Cut into 2 inch wide strips.
