PUMPKIN NUT BREAD 
1 c. soft butter
3 c. granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 (1 lb.) can pumpkin
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins

Cream butter and add sugar gradually. Beat in eggs. Add pumpkin and vanilla, mixing to combine. Sift together the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and spices. Blend with pumpkin mixture. Add nuts and raisins. Bake in two 9 x 5 x 3 inch bread pans at 350 degrees for 60-65 minutes, or until toothpick test is clean.
