MAKE YOUR OWN "BISQUICK" | |
9 c. sifted flour (can use some whole wheat) 1/4 c. baking powder 1 - 1 1/2 tbsp. salt 1 1/2 - 2 c. shortening Stir baking powder and salt into flour. Sift three times into a large bowl. Cut in the cold shortening with a pastry blender until it resembles tiny peas. Store in an air tight container and use in any recipe that calls for Bisquick. Making half of a recipe works fine too if 9 cups is too much. |
