KOLACHES 
3 pkgs. yeast
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. warm water

Mix all together. Let sit about 10 or 15 minutes. Then add 3 cups warm milk and 5 cups flour; mix well. Let it sit until it starts bubbling, about 30 to 40 minutes. Then add: 1 c. Crisco, melted 1 1/4 c. sugar 1 tbsp. salt 5 eggs 1/2 c. evaporated milk 6 c. flour

Mix all together well; let rise until it is double in size. Pinch off egg size portion and roll into a ball, using the palm of your hands in a circular motion. Place on a greased pan about 1 inch apart. Brush kolaches with melted butter. Let sit about 10 minutes; press in center of each Kolache and put 1 teaspoon of fruit filling in each and let rise until light, then bake until light brown (about 15 or 20 minutes) at 350 degrees. Use any fruit - apples, prunes, apricots.
