TEXAS CHICKEN FRIED STEAK | |
1 lb. round steak 1 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese 1 tsp. garlic powder 2 eggs, beaten 1 c. vegetable oil Cut round steak into serving pieces and tenderize with mallet. Mix next 5 ingredients in a pie pan or plate. Beat egg and place in another pie pan or plate. Dip pieces of meat first in dry ingredients, then in egg, and again in dry ingredients. Heat cooking oil in large frying skillet on medium high. Place coated meat pieces in hot skillet and cook until done, about 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Pieces should be golden brown. Serve with mashed potatoes, milk gravy (made from drippings) and green beans. |
