PERSIMMON COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. persimmon pulp
1 c. raisins
1 c. nuts

Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and mix well. Add persimmon pulp; mix well. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and spices; mix well. Stir raisins and nuts. Drop from teaspoon onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
