CRANBERRY NUT BREAD 
1 c. white sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 egg
orange juice and rind of 1 orange, adding enough water to make 3/4 c. juice
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raw cranberries, cut in quarters
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Combine all ingredients and pour into greased loaf tins. (Makes 2 small loaves or 1 large loaf.)

Frozen or canned orange juice may be substituted for 1 orange.
