DATE CAKE SQUARES 
1 c. chopped dates
3/4 c. chopped pitted prunes
1/2 c. dark raisins
1 1/4 c. water
8 tbsp. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour (regular flour)
18 packets Equal
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. chopped nuts

Combine dates, prunes, raisins and water; heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, until tender and water is absorbed, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Add butter and cool. Mix eggs until stiff. Spread in a greased 11 x 7 x 2 pan.

Bake at 350°F until cake springs back when touched lightly, about 30 to 35 minutes.
