REFRIGERATOR ROLL DOUGH | |
1 c. sugar 2 tbsp. salt 1/3 c. shortening 3 c. hot water 1/2 c. warm water 3 pkgs. dry yeast 2 eggs, beaten 10 to 12 c. flour Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease cookie sheets. Mix together sugar, salt, shortening, and hot water. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in warm water and add to lukewarm mixture. Add eggs, then about half the flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in rest of the flour and knead until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl, brush top with soft butter, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until doubled or needed. Shape into rolls. Place on greased sheets. Let rise in warm place until doubled. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. |
