2 c. sugar
1 c. cold lard or Crisco
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 1/4 - 4 c. flour
1/2 to 1 tsp. nutmeg

Mix together. Roll out, great for all occasion cookies or cut into round cookies. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
