BIV'S SPECIAL SAUCE | |
2 cloves garlic 4 tbsp. vegetable oil 1/4 c. red wine (or your own choice) 16 oz. can tomato puree 2 (4 oz.) cans tomato paste 1 (4 oz.) can tomato sauce Parsley Basil Rosemary Oregano Water Break out big old saucepan. Chop garlic and put on bottom of pan with oil. Now char or blacken the garlic. Add the sauce, paste and puree. Add 3 cans of water. Heat until it comes to a boil. Add (4) different seasonings to taste. Add the wine (may add sugar if too bitter). Let simmer over a low flame for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours, stirring every 10 minutes. (Add any leftover meat and then serve.) |
