CHERRY SLICES 
1 c. soft butter
1 3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt

FILLING:

1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling

ICING:

2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tbsp. butter
1/2 of 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
3 tsp. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine batter ingredients and beat for 2 minutes. Reserve 1 1/2 cups batter and spread the rest in greased 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 inch jelly roll pan. Cover with pie filling, spooning evenly over batter. Drop the reserved batter over top by spoonful. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool. Mix icing ingredients and beat until smooth. Spread on. To serve cut into bars or slices.
