Desired stuffing (bread)
1. Cut off top of onion and reserve for another use. Scoop out center's of onions using sharp paring knife, leaving a shell about 1/4 inch thick on sides and 1 inch deep cavity. Chop onion centers and add to stuffing (if you want).
2. Cook onion shells in boiling salted water for 5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towel upside down.
3. Put in desired dish to bake. Slice thin layer off bottom of onion if necessary so they will stand. At 350 degrees it takes 45 minutes.
