NUT OR POPPY SEED BREAD | |
8 c. flour 1 c. sugar 1/2 lb. melted butter 6 eggs 1/2 pt. sour cream 1/2 pt. light sweet cream 1/2 lg. yeast cake or 2 sm. 1/2 c. lukewarm water to dissolve yeast in Mix flour, sugar and butter. Add beaten eggs, sour cream, light cream, dissolved yeast and water; mix well. Let it raise 2 1/2 hours. Roll out as for pie crust. Fill with desired filling. Roll up and put into pans. Let it raise for 1/2 hour. Brush with beaten egg before putting in a 350 degree oven. Bake until golden. |
