MERINGUE COOKIES 
2 egg whites
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. miniature chocolate bits

Beat egg whites until foamy, then add cream of tartar and salt. Beat whites until stiff peaks form. Add sugar to egg whites, 2 tablespoons at a time. Add vanilla and chocolate chips. Cover bottom of cookie sheet with brown paper. Do not grease. Drop by teaspoons on brown paper. Bake in middle of oven for 25 minutes at 250 degrees.
