STRAWBERRY JELLO CAKE | |
1 box Duncan Hines white cake mix 1 lg. pkg. strawberry instant Jello 2 tbsp. Pillsbury plain flour 1 c. Crisco oil 4 eggs 1 c. fresh or frozen strawberries (fresh, sweeten) 1/2 c. water ICING: 1 box confectioners' sugar 1 stick butter 1 c. strawberries CAKE: Mix all ingredients together. Grease and flour pans. Pour batter into pans. Bake 20-30 minutes. Depends on oven. Check layers after 25 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool in pans 5-10 minutes. Remove from pans and let cool. ICING: In mixing bowl, mix all ingredients together. Spread icing on cooled layers. Use a large cake plate. Icing has a tendency to run and drizzle while spreading. The large cake plate will catch the extra icing. Ready to eat. Place in cool spot until ready to serve. May cover with cake lid to keep fresh and moist. |
