1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. water
1 egg
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. M & M's

Blend Crisco and sugars; beat in vanilla, water, and egg. Sift together and add remaining dry ingredients; mix well. Stir in M & M's. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
