QUICK OATMEAL COOKIES 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. water
1 c. Crisco shortening
1 c. seedless raisins
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. uncooked oatmeal
1 c. pecans, chopped

Sift dry ingredients in large bowl. Add eggs, water, vanilla and shortening. Beat until smooth. Fold in oatmeal, pecans and raisins. Shape into balls or drop by teaspoon 1-inch apart on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375°F for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool on wire rack.

Makes 4 1/2 to 5 dozen.
