GOLDEN RAISIN COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Simmer until water is absorbed 1 cup golden raisins and 1/2 cup water; cool. Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour, soda and salt. Add raisins, drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
