CABBAGE RELISH 
16 c. shredded or chopped cabbage
4 c. chopped onions
2 c. chopped peppers
1/3 c. salt

Mix all ingredients together. Pour ice water over mixture to cover. Soak overnight. Next morning, drain. Pack in jars.

Mix together: 2 tsp. celery seed 4 c. vinegar

Boil together and pour over cabbage in jars and seal. Put jars in boiling water for about 5 to 10 minutes. Yield: 7 pints.
