MA'S FRUIT AND NUT COOKIES 
1 c. soft butter
2 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. sour milk (add 1 tbsp. vinegar to fresh milk)
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. nuts
2 c. mixed candied fruit
2 c. dates, chopped

Beat butter and brown sugar together. Add eggs and sour milk. Mix flour, soda and salt together and add a little at a time until flour mixture is all mixed in. Stir in nuts, fruit, dates with a spoon.

Drop by heaping teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned.
