DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE BROWNIES | |
1/2 c. butter 2 c. sugar 1/2 c. cocoa 1/4 tsp. salt 4 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. flour 1 c. chopped nuts Melt butter in saucepan (or microwave in bowl). Add the remaining ingredients. Mix well. Stir in 1 cup chopped nuts. Turn into greased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Frost immediately and cool slightly before cutting. FROSTING: 1/4 c. butter 2 tbsp. cocoa 3 tbsp. milk 1/2 lb. (approximately 2 c.) powdered sugar 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. nuts Bring butter, cocoa and milk to a full boil. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar and beat until thick. Add vanilla and nuts. Immediately after removing brownies from oven, cover with frosting. |
