1/2 c. cocoa
1/3 c. hot water
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix cocoa and water to make smooth paste. Set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Blend in cocoa paste. Drop by spoonfuls on baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes. Cool and put together with cream filling. Recipe to follow.
