SOUR CREAM NOODLE BAKE | |
1 (12 oz.) pkg. noodles 2 lb. ground beef 1 tbsp. salt 1/2 tbsp. black pepper 1/2 tbsp. garlic salt 2 tbsp. butter (I use butter) 1 1/2 c. tomato sauce 1 c. creamed cottage cheese 1 c. sour cream 1 c. chopped green onions, about 2 bunches tops with roots 1 c. grated cheddar cheese Cook noodles according to package directions. Set aside. Saute meat (with salt, pepper, and garlic salt) in butter (butter) over medium heat until meat loses red color. Add tomato sauce and stir well and simmer for several minutes. Remove from heat. Drain cooked noodles and mix well with cottage cheese, sour cream, and chopped onion. Spread in alternate layers in 3 quart greased casserole beginning with noodles and ending with meat. Top each meat layer with some of the grated cheese. Bake at 350 degrees or 25-30 minutes until bubbly. Serves 12. |
