KRISPY DATE SNACKS 
1 c. sugar
1/4 lb. butter
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. dates, chopped
1 c. nuts, chopped
3 c. Rice Krispies

Cream sugar and butter; add dates and egg. Put in heavy skillet and heat for 10 minutes on low heat until it forms soft paste. Add nuts and vanilla. Pour over Rice Krispies. Mix well. When cool, form into balls and roll in powdered sugar. Makes 65 balls.
